The CFA preparation that I offer is intended for candidates who wish to approach the last two months before the exam by focusing on the themes of the curriculum that pose the most difficulty in understanding, aware that it is on these points that the difference with other candidates will be made on the day of the exam.

This naturally implies that the program has already been covered by the learners.

For each topic, a summary of the course is given covering all the relevant readings.

Then, practical cases are carried out and a detailed correction is proposed. The correction stage is crucial because it allows the concepts to be explained in a precise and methodical way.

Since many topics have some correspondence between them, it is wise to be able to use what you learn in each of them in order to be able to answer "related" questions asked in others.

Let's take an example: for the CFA level 2, in the ECONOMICS topic, you are asked to know how to calculate the forward exchange rate from the spot rate by exploiting the sacrosanct principle of no arbitrage opportunity used for the pricing of numerous derivative products (SWAP, OPTIONS, FRA, etc.) discussed in the DERIVATIVES chapter.

Another example: in the FIXED INCOME readings of the CFA level 2, you are asked to know how to "price" callable and putable bonds. You will know how to do this if you have understood the method of valuing options in the DERIVATIVES Topic from the one and two period binomial trees.

For Level 3, which tests your ability to exercise judgment and critical thinking thanks to a global understanding of financial markets, pricing and valuation of financial instruments seen in Levels 1 and 2, these "bridges" between topics are all the more useful, even necessary to exploit.

WHO AM I?

Former investment manager in venture capital, current stock trader, I have been an independent trading coach and financial consultant for the last 12 years.

I am a graduate of Sciences Po Paris (economic and financial section), with a degree in economics (option money and finance) and CFA charterholder. I have a strong taste for most of the topics related to the broad universe of finance both from an academic perspective and their practical application.

In particular, the functioning of financial markets, financial analysis, corporate finance, management and valuation of assets from the simplest to the most complex (equity, options-free bonds, bonds with embedded options, options, swaptionsforwardsswaps, CDS, FRA, etc.) and their use for hedging purpose.

I also have a very good theoretical and practical knowledge of behavioral finance.

It is indeed necessary to identify, recognize and adapt to the cognitive and emotional biases that are omnipresent in the ultra-competitive world of trading, but also more broadly in asset management and wealth management.

I have carried out numerous consulting and training missions for industrial clients or financial institutions faced with problems requiring the understanding and acquisition of methods and tools for managing interest rate, currency and commodity risks.

I work both for industrial clients and financial companies.

In addition, I have a strong taste for mentoring and teaching outside my professional activity, especially in market finance.

I teach in 2 french business schools CFA level 1 and 2.

My academic background and my professional experience allow me to illustrate concepts that are sometimes obscure for learners with practical examples and applications.

Making complicated things simple is my motto.
